Fira Sans is a humanist sans-serif typeface designed by Erik Spieekermann, Ralph du Carrois, Anja Meiners and Botio Nikoltchev of Carrois Type Design, originally designed for The Firefox OS. The specimen is designed as a representation of digital screens and virtual surfaces, or windows that show the use of letters in a wide spectrum of cuts, sizes and relations, while simultaneously appealing to the use of letters in the digital space as well as on analogue printing surfaces.
